"Clear Your Shipment Into Canada"
|
To begin clearing your shipment into Canada, please provide one of the invoices listed in the orange section below, and send to:

1.) Provide 1 of the 4 documents below for your shipment:
* Commercial Invoice or
* Bill of Sale or
* Canada Customs Invoice or
* Confirmation of Sale (for fruits and vegetables only)
General Instructions: One of the above invoices should be provided to you by your vendor or seller. If not, you may also create your own invoice by clicking on and completing the "Canada Customs Invoice" below, or in the case of fruits and vegetables, completing the "Confirmation of Sale" invoice below. Whichever invoice you provide your Customs Broker, please ensure the following information is on it and that it is accurate.
* Vendor Name & Address * Shipment Date * Importer Name & Address * Consignee / Deliver to Address * Carrier Name * Customs Broker Name & Contact #'s * Product Description * Value of Goods
* Number of Packages & Weight
* Currency of Settlement (ie. USD=US Dollars, CAD=Canadian Dollars, etc.) * Country of Origin (for each product, state the country it was manufactured in)

2.) Documents required to receive the best duty rates:
* North American Free Trade Agreement Certificate (NAFTA)
(for products made in Canada, U.S. or Mexico over $1600 CAD)
* North American Free Trade Agreement Statement
(for products made in Canada, U.S. or Mexico valued at $1600 CAD or less)
* Exporter’s Statement of Origin (for products not made in Canada,
U.S. or Mexico but is listed on the "Trade Agreement Countries" form
below with a dagger symbol(†) beside its name - could qualify for a
lower duty rate under the General Preferential Tariff Treatment)
* Certificate of Origin (for products not made in Canada, U.S. or
Mexico but is listed on the "Trade Agreement Countries" form above
without a dagger symbol(†) beside its name - will qualify for duty
rates under the Most-Favoured-Nation Tariff Treatment)
General Instructions: The appropriate document above is required for you to receive the best duty rate possible. You or your Customs Broker may provide this document. It needs to be completed and signed by the vendor, exporter or producer of your products.

Please provide your Customs Broker the 2 documents below as optional (not required to clear Canada customs):
* Packing List - This document helps the Customs Broker know what is packed in your shipment.
* Bill of Lading / Waybill - Your carrier can provide you with this document. It helps provide the Customs Broker with important carrier information. |
The above documents are basic requirements to clear Canada Customs. More customs documents may be required such as special licenses or permits required by other government departments. To see if your shipment requires extra documents, please consult with your customs broker. |
